Just For Kids - New Blue 50mm Refractor Telescope Bundle From helping the nation's power grid to advancing the creation of "a star in a jar" for a virtually endless supply of electric power, scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) have developed insights and discoveries over the past year that advance understanding of the universe and the prospect for safe, clean, and abundant energy. Auroral substorms and solar flares are basically various manifestations of electromagnetic energy dissipation processes, so it is useful to consider both phenomena in terms of a chain of processes, consisting of power supply (dynamo), transmission (currents/circuits), and dissipation (auroral substorms, solar flares), the electric current approach. In this short review, we briefly describe both phenomena together on the basis of the chain process. It is shown that the introduction of a dynamo pr

Description The classic air-spaced, crown-and-flint, doublet achromatic refractor is reborn with the aim to produce superior-class optical figure in a short (f/6.5) focal length design with Explore Scientific Air-Spaced Doublet AR Series. The AR 152 mm (six-inch), with its larger aperture optics gathers 44% more light over the AR127 (five-inch) model, providing much brighter images and higher resolution. Our goal was to provide an extreme value by providing true diffraction-limited optics at a p Description The classic air-spaced, crown-and-flint, doublet achromatic refractor is reborn with the aim to produce superior-class optical figure in a short (f/6.5) focal length design with Explore Scientific Air-Spaced Doublet AR Series. The mission of Telescopes for Libraries is to supply each public library in the United States with a powerful, easy-to-use telescope to help stimulate interest in science and foster scientific literacy. Astronomy is the oldest science of them all, and lends itself readily to multidisciplinary connections. Libraries could check out the telescope to patrons for week-long loans, or have a local amateur astronomer set it up periodically for public viewing nights. NASA's Orion spacecraft will carry astronauts further into space than ever before using a module based on Europe's Automated Transfer Vehicles (ATV). The ATV-derived service module, sitting directly below Orion's crew capsule, will provide propulsion, power, thermal control, as well as supplying water and gas to the astronauts in the habitable module. The first Orion mission will be an uncrewed lunar flyby in 2017, returning to Earth's atmosphere at 11 km/s – the fastest reentry ever.
